Funny how all the comments so far talk about the real/Leonid band while Jim MIDI Doctor is playing his own Rhodes-like piano (bottom LH corner) so well that we overlook you're not in the L+F band. Did you filter out the keyboards? I don't hear both (would likely conflict at least a bit if you didn't) Sounded perfect to me, the band is big with plenty of other instruments so focusing/hearing keyboard(s).. isn't easy. I approve, i mean...thanks/enjoy!

I am completely without words!!!!!! We lost this amazing Talent much too early for her flame to be extinguished. Tonight I happened. to have stumbled across this video and I was absolutely mesmerized. You have successfully imitated the most amazing female vocalist this world has ever seen ! I hope that Richard Carpenter, Karen’s brother, has the opportunity to hear your wonderful voice! I’m sure he has music he would love for you to record!

i was born in 1948 and have listened to so much music. I have thousands of records and this was the first one i bought at White Front in san diego. So Cal Purples and I Am A Man....listen and go party. About Tori and what you did together. I was never a Carpenter fan and then i heard Tori sing. Karen had to me a dark side to her voice that all the others never had. You and Tori opened up something i had just ignored. Thank you

I have no words...!!! Truly Unbelievable. You should do a dedicated album of the best of the Carpenters & I will be straight to the record shop to invest in a copy or 2 (put a 2nd copy away for a backup, so I never loose the album)....

Being a Karen Carpenter fan from too many years ago, I was stunned the first time I heard Tori sing. The more I listened to her, the more I realized how exact her voice compared. She even has the little lisp that Karen had. Fun to listen to.

I've always wondered when the next Karen Carpenter would arrive. If she did that on The Voice, 4 chairs would turn immediately.

I love the authentic sound of the UB-Xa, Jim. Great job as always covering all the parts. And Charlie's marimba solo was spot-on.

This is indeed amazing. I'm curious about one thing: which part or parts were recorded first? My guess is that the lead vocal would be among the parts recorded first, so that the other musicians could follow its pace. But since singing _a capella_ would be needlessly difficult, presumably at least one instrumental part, perhaps the lead keyboard, was recorded together with her singing the lead vocal?
